Tyler, the Creator’s “Earfquake” has been the subject of a plethora of covers and renditions, yet rarely has it met form like in the recently debuted flip from Chicago-based producers Cam Stacey and ell!psis. The dreamy cut is glazed with an ever-potent dose of the same neo-soul/RnB spirit Tyler had long pursued leading up to 2019’s IGOR, but familiarity takes a backseat as this version breaks into a final minute of head-bobbing bliss.
Tyler has made a habit of dropping albums in the spring every two years (with the exception of Flower Boy that he gifted in June). This single gives us a fresh taste of IGOR‘s honey-eyed sweetness in its reimagining of the original, featuring main vocals from ell!psis and Cam on the rap portion.
